Lac-aux-Sables is a parish municipality in Quebec (Canada) located in the Mekinac Regional County Municipality, in the Batiscanie watershed and in the Mauricie administrative region.

The toponym "Lac-aux-Sables" comes from Lac aux Sables located on its territory.

The parish municipality of Lac-aux-Sables is located approximately 95 kilometres northwest of Quebec City, in the populated part of the Mekinac MRC. The Batiscan River cuts the municipal territory into two parts. The right bank of the Batiscan River has two major tributaries: the Propre River and the Tawachiche River. The municipality has two villages: Lac-aux-Sables and Hervey-Jonction.

The territory of Lac-aux-Sables is mainly included in Batiscanie, except for the area of Lac du Missionnaire located to the west, at the limit of Sainte-Thecle which flows into the sub-basin of the Mekinac River, and except for another area at the limit of Saint-Ubalde to the east which flows into the Charest River.

In 2004, the unorganized territory of Lac-Masketsi was reduced by 90 km2, because a part of 70 km2 was integrated into the municipality of Trois-Rives and a part of 20 km2 was integrated into Lac-aux-Sables.

Lac aux Sables flows through the south of the lake into the Propre River whose course passes through Lake Huron located further west. This lake has three tributaries, the largest of which is the outlet of Lac Brule. The other two are the outlets of Lac Veillette and Lac à la Roche.
